Q: How does mychessguru.com work?
Sign-up, Select the Instructor, schedule a session, make the payment and
get started at your scheduled time. During a session, you'll work with an Instructor
using Skype.
Q: Is mychessguru.com safe?
Yes. We use Paypal (a eBay company) for payments. All billing information is maintained
by Paypal. Our Instructors don't have access to your home address, or phone number
or billing information. They only see your first name, email and Skype id.
Q: Do I have to schedule an appointment?
Yes! We have a scheduling utility on the website. Instructors indicate their available
hours, which will be listed as available sessions. Students can reserve the sessions
and make the payment to confirm the sessions. You can see all your sessions and
history in My Appointments.
Q: How long are my reservations valid?
Your reservations are valid for two hours. The system will reset them if you do not confirm within two hours.
Q: Can I cancel a reservation?
You may cancel a reservation by clicking on the reservation in the schedule grid.
Q: Can I cancel a confirmed appointment?
You may cancel any session 24 hrs before scheduled time for full refund, which will
be credited your account. You can see all your cancellation credits in My Account.
Q: What if I do not like a session?
Your satisfaction is guaranteed. To prove our confidence in the services we provide,
we are offering a generous money back, satisfaction guarantee! As long as you make
the request by email within 24 hours of a completed session and cancel all remaining
confirmed sessions with that Instructor.
Q: Who are the Instructors?
Our Instructors are active chess players. Every Instructor goes through an extensive
certification and screening process.
We solicit feedback after every session is
recorded and Instructors review their sessions regularly with our team of experienced
mentors.
